A forever project that never happened.  We have changed brief countless of times.  We had an option to completely demolish the old house and convert it to 2 units.  There was a 2-sty and a 3-sty version of it.   Another option was to just renovate the front part to enlarge the kitchen, and provide a proper laundry area and maid's room.  Then there was the duplex side-by-side option, just a reno version, a separate en-suite at the rear or just add a studio unit in front.  And many more versions in between! 

I still liked the version where it can be 2 houses.  As we already have 2 house numbers and the site is deep enough to accommodate a main house and a rental.
